With nearly 10 million visitors per year, Bali is easily the most popular tourist destination in Indonesia. Whether you prefer a beachside vacation, enjoying the mountains, or exploring unique culture, there is something for everyone in Bali.

While Bali can be very crowded, especially during high season, there are definitely a few places for the move adventurous travelers to explore.

For those who plan a vacation to Bali away from the crowds and close to nature, here are some best less-visited spots in Bali.

Nusa Lembongan

Nusa Lembongan is an island located just southeast of Bali. It is not as crowded as other many other popular spots such as Seminyak, Kuta, Legian, Jimbaran, Tanjung Benoa and Nusa Dua. For a day away from the crowds, Nusa Lembongan is a top choice.

Enjoy white sand beaches, blue sea water, sunset views, and exciting underwater activities. Surfing, diving and snorkeling are just some of the water activities that you can do here.

Far from the hustle and bustle of Bali live, find calmer waves, serene black-sand shores and splendid sunset experiences.
Located in Singaraja, North Bali, Lovina not only offers stunning beach views but also exciting dolphin tours which of course are rarely found elsewhere in Bali.

For yet another black-sand beach, Amed is often referred to as an “underwater paradise.” If you enjoy snorkeling and diving, Amed is definitely a must visit. It is also located towards the northern coast of Bali.

Sometimes referred to as “the village above the clouds,” Munduk offers serene and natural beauty amidst coffee, tea, and clove plantations. You can also explore the nearby Melanting Waterfall or Tamblingan Lake.

Munduk is mostly appealing for what isn't here: no crowds, no tourist shops and no hassles. It is recommended to use a motorbike because the road is narrow and winding.
